Keep the thermometer in place until it beeps.
See section 'Audible signals' at the end of this chapter for the meaning of the beeps.
Note: If for some reason the temperature cannot be measured, the display shows an 'L' or an 'H'. This
means that the temperature is outside the temperature range. Switch off the thermometer, check if it is
correctly positioned and switch it on again to restart the measurement.
7
Remove the thermometer and read the display.
8
Press the on/off button 3 to switch off the thermometer.
Note: Switch off the thermometer after use to save battery power. If you do not switch off the
thermometer, it switches off automatically after 10 minutes.
Measuring the temperature of older children
For older children and adults, the digital flexible-tip thermometer can also be used to measure
temperature orally (in the mouth) or axially (in the armpit).
Do not use the flexible-tip thermometer for oral temperature measurements on babies.
If the thermometer has been used rectally or in the armpit without hygienic covers, do not use
it for oral measurement anymore for hygienic reasons, not even after cleaning.
