- Pull the comb from the appliance (fig. 10).
- Make well-controlled movements. Touch the hair lightly
with the trimmer (fig. 11).
Cleaning
- Always switch off the appliance before cleaning.
• During use:
- If much hair has accumulated in the comb area, pull off the
comb attachment (fig. 10) and remove the hairs by
shaking and/or blowing (fig. 12). The current beard length
setting will be maintained.
• After each trim:
- Pull the comb from the appliance (fig. 10).
- Pull the cutting unit backwards (fig. 13).
- Clean with the brush (fig. 14, 15).
Replacing the cutting unit
If the cutting unit is damaged or worn, a new unit can be
bought from the Philips Service Centre. Replace the cutting
unit as follows:
- Remove the old cutting unit by first pulling it backwards
(fig. 13) and then upwards.
- Place the two notches of the new cutting unit into the
guide slots (fig. 16).

- Push the cutting unit down ('Click'!) (fig. 17).
Protecting the environment
The built-in rechargeable battery contains substances which
may pollute the environment. When you eventually discard
this appliance, remove the rechargeable battery and hand it
in separately at an officially assigned collection point.
Note: You can also take the appliance to a Philips Service 4
Centre. The staff will be happy to help you.
How to remove the built-in rechargeable battery
- Undo the screw of the base plate on the rear side of the
appliance (fig. 18).
- Pull the rechargeable battery holder approximately 4 cm.

- Insert a screwdriver into the small slot in the printed-circuit
board, which is marked with an arrow (fig. 19).
- Push screwdriver down untill part of the printed-circuit
breaks off.

- Grasp the blue wire and pull the battery out of the
appliance, as shown in fig. 20.
Do not connect the appliance after the rechargeable

battery has been removed!

• De unieke 'stoppel-optie'
Uw trimmer is uitgerust met een unieke opzetkam: de fijne

mogelijk om de baardhaartjes heel precies af te knippen tot
een lengte van slechts 1.5 mm. Daardoor is het mogelijk om
een zeer korte stoppelbaard te krijgen. Om uw baard zo kort

mogelijk te knippen, kunt u de trimmer gebruiken zonder
opzetkam waarbij een stoppellengte van 0.8 mm wordt
bereikt.

- Trek de opzetkam van het apparaat (fig. 10).
- Houd uw bewegingen goed onder controle. Raak het haar
lichtjes aan met de trimmer (fig. 11).
Schoonmaken
- Schakel het apparaat altijd eerst uit, voordat u het apparaat
schoonmaakt.

• Tijdens het gebruik:
- Als er zich veel haar heeft verzameld in de opzetkam, trek
deze even van het apparaat (fig. 10) en verwijder de
haartjes door de opzetkam heen en weer te schudden
en/of door erin te blazen (fig. 12).
De bestaande baardlengte-instelling blijft bewaard.

• Na elk gebruik:
- Trek de opzetkam van het apparaat (fig. 10).
- Kantel de trimmer achterover (fig. 13).
- Maak de trimmer schoon met het borsteltje (fig. 14, 15).
Trimmer vervangen
Indien de trimmer beschadigd of versleten is, kunt u een
nieuwe trimmer kopen bij uw leverancier of een Philips
Service Centre. Ingebouwde oplaadbare batterij verwijderen
Vervang de trimmer als volgt: - Draai de schroef aan de achterkant op de bodemplaat van

Umweltschutz
Der Akku enthält Substanzen, die einer Wiederverwertung
zugeführt werden müssen. Nehmen Sie den Akku aus dem
Gerät, wenn Sie es außer Betrieb nehmen, und geben Sie
ihn bei einer offiziellen Sammelstelle ab.
Hinweis: Sie können das Gerät auch dem Philips Service
Center zustellen. Wir kümmern uns dann gern um eine
ordnungsgemäße Entsorgung.
ntnahme des integrierten Akkus
- Entfernen Sie mit einem Schraubendreher die Schraube
an der Rückseite des unteren Endes am Gerät (Abb. 18).
- Ziehen Sie den Batteriehalter ca. 4 cm aus dem Gerät.
- Setzen Sie den Schraubendreher in den kleinen Schlitz,
der mit einem Pfeil gekennzeichnet ist (Abb. 19).
- Drücken Sie mit dem Schraubendreher darauf, bis ein Teil
des Bauteils wegbricht.
- Ziehen Sie den Akku an dem blauen Draht aus dem Gerät
(Abb. 20).
Nachdem der Akku ausgebaut ist, dürfen Gerät und
Ladestation nicht mehr an eine Steckdose
angeschlossen werden.
