Use as a data modem

Use of the telephone module as a data
modem is only possible for vehicles with
COMAND Online.

Before connecting for the first time, select
the network provider in COMAND Online;
see the COMAND Online operating instruc-
tions.

Insert the telephone module in the bracket
( Y page 12).

Connect the mobile phone to the telephone
module ( Y page 16).
Use as a data modem is automatically acti-
vated.

To activate/deactivate data roaming:

Storing a SIM PIN
If you store a SIM PIN in the telephone mod-
ule, it is not necessary to enter it when logging
in again.
In the standard setting, the SIM PIN is saved.

Activating/deactivating phone num-
ber transmission
If you activate phone number transmission,
the caller you are speaking with can see your
phone number.
In the standard setting, the system accepts
the settings used by the mobile phone net-
work provider. These may vary and can be
obtained from the mobile phone network pro-
vider.
