Carry out the following to service and clean the appliance:
Step
1 Ensure that power to the appliance is disconnected
2 Dismantle top cover
3 Dismantle the cabinet's front plate and release the wires to the dehumidifier's
parts in the internal terminal. The wires are marked to ensure safe reassembly
4 Separate the wires to the fan at socket/cable shoe and pull the fan and the
plate on which it is mounted up and move it into the upper position back-
wards and out of the cabinet
5 Pull the pipe for regeneration air off the pipe stubs in the cabinet and at the
rotor sector and remove it from cabinet
6 Clean the cabinet with compressed air, vacuum cleaner or water/soap
7 Clean the rotor with compressed air (limited pressure)
8 Clean the duct stubs with compressed air
9 Check the motor and driving belt for rotor
10 Check the fan
11 Check the heating elements
12 Check the strips
13 Check the electrical equipment and wires
14 Adjust external humidity control (optional extra)
15 Remount the dismantled parts in reverse order
16 Connect power to the appliance
17 Carry out a function test of the appliance (check heat and air and whether the
rotor is turning)
NOTE
Check with your hand that the dry air temperature is warmer than the process
air temperature (+ 10-15ºC). Check that the regeneration air temperature is
warmer than the process air temperature (40-50ºC).
The rotor can be washed with water and a little detergent. Washing the rotor must how-
ever not be carried out unless it is very dirty and is thus not part of the standard
maintenance routine. Contact Dantherm your supplier to obtain a guide to rotor wash.
