Intended Use

This product is designed to display the time, if equipped accordingly, maybe additional information, e.g. date, temperature, etc.,
depending on the version of the clock. The operation of this clock is permitted in dry rooms only, unless a clock-option
(version) allows other use. (Exception: PEWETA 51.420.311, which may also be used in so-called wet rooms, however, in no case in
steam baths and sauna cabins). Any use other than described may lead to damage of this product and involves the risk of short circuits,
fire, electric shock etc. This clock is not approved for Ex-zones.

Safety instructions

Please read all these instructions before using the clock. The warranty will be void for damage arising from non-compliance with
these operating instructions! Follow national instructions.
Unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the clock is not permitted due to safety and approval reasons (CE).
The appliance must not be subjected to heavy mechanical stress.
Do not leave packaging material and batteries unattended, it may become dangerous for children and animals.
Do not re-load batteries.
Make sure that batteries will neither be damaged or short-circuited nor thrown into the fire. Danger of explosion!
Serving adjustment or repair works must be carried out by authorized and skilled persons only.
Please keep this user manual and forward it to the next owner of this product.
General note
This wall clock receives and evaluates the DCF77 signal. This time signal which is sent by a transmitter in Mainflingen
(near Frankfurt/Main) can be received within a range of approx. 1,500 to 2,000 km, sufficient conditions provided.

Scope of delivery

• Wall clock, 1.5 V battery operated (1 x Mignon/LR6/AA or 1 x Baby/LR14, not included, size depending on clock version)
• User manual

Setting the clock

Insert a 1.5 V battery Alkali-Mangan "Alkaline" (Mignon/LR6/AA or Baby/LR14) into the battery compartment on the reverse side
of the clock. Pay attention to correct polarity (+/-).The movement will start initializing process automatically by adjusting all hands to
12:00 position, alternatively to 04:00 or 8:00 position, corresponding to the type series of the clock. The detection of the DCF77 signal
and its evaluation may take 2...6 minutes. Do not move the wall clock during that time.
A poor DCF77 radio reception quality can be caused by e.g. metallized insulated windows, reinforced concrete construction design, near
to lighting fittings, computer monitors and TV screens, specially coated wallpapers or an installation in cellar rooms.
If after 10...20 minutes no current time is indicated initiate new starting process: take off the battery, change position of the clock and
insert battery again after more than 1 minute. Pay attention to correct polarity (+/-). The wall clock should now work properly. If not
please see paragraph "problem solving" on page 4.
Elements of interferences
Metal-vapoured/insulated windows, buildings with steel concrete structures, fluorescent lamps, TV and computer screens, specially
covered wallpapers as well as cellar rooms may influence the quality of the DCF77 radio signal.
Maintenance advice, cleaning
We recommend to replace the battery after 1...2 years to enable the correct function of the clock. Remove the battery
when the battery is empty or when the clock will not be used for a longer period.
For cleaning please use a dry, clean, soft cloth. Do not use any chemical cleaning agents.

Repairs by skilled and authorized persons only, to the risk and cost of the ordering person(s) resp. of the owner(s)
of this product. Notice national/international regulations.
