1 GENERAL INFORMATION
To upgrade the integrated software, EM-486 uses files «EM486FW1.FUS», «EM486FW2.FUS» or
«EM486FW3.FUS» from folder «UPGRADES» located on SD memory card.
EM-486 uses for integrated software updating the files in folder «FW» on the SD memory card:
Integrated software can be updated from any file in this folder via WEB-interface or in a special mode of
software updating.
Note – due to the fact that before updating the device offers to select from all files in order it is recommended
to make updating via WEB-interface of the device.
2 TRANSMITTING THE EM-486UPDATING FILES
For transmitting the files it is recommended to use the device FTP or WEB-interface.
Transfer via FTP is carried out in the standard mode; the files should be located in folder «UPGRADES» and
should be named «EM486FW1.FUS», «EM486FW2.FUS» or «EM486FW3.FUS».
Transmitting via FTP is made in standard mode the files must be located in a folder «FW».
For transmitting via WEB-interface you should enter the EM-486setting mode, as described in item 2.3.3.3.
Go to sub item «Files».
To load the file in EM-486:
In a line of current version file press the button «Select a file», or to add a file you should press the button
«Select a file» down the page;
In a pop-up window, select an updating file (for example «EM-486-2-8.FUS»;
Press the button «Replace the file» or the button «Send the file» down the page.
Note – after loading the file, make sure that the updated file is correct with a new version of software. In a line
of loaded file next to the file name there should be a name of software with number of version, after which there
should be «Checked».
To get a file from EM-486:
In a line of the file, press the button «Receive»;
Select the name of file and direction where the file will be saved.
To delete the file in EM-486:
In line of the file, press the button «Delete»
3 UPDATING OF INTEGRATED SOFTWARE VIA WEB-INTERFACE
Enter the EM-486 setting mode via WEB-interface, as described in item 2.3.3.3.
Go to sub item «Files».
To update the integrated software:
In a line of the updating file, press the button «Preset»;
After additional check of updating file, the device will automatically reset and go to updating mode (see sub
item В.4);
Wait until software update is complete, the process can take from 2 to 5 minutes;
Check the number of software version on the device display and make sure that the updating is successfully
completed.
4 SOFTWARE UPDATING MODE
The device can be set in mode of software updating after power supply and restart. The setting in that mode is
made automatically (at updating via WEB-interface or at update failure) or manually (at the button «R» being
pressed during a startup). The procedure of entering in mode of updating is resulted in Table C.1.
