    The processor check out the set values in the accumulated data and in case of offsetting it registers this event as an alarm. EM-486 sends the information about the events to the server, and it can be programmed for switching on the inbuilt relays, for recording the set values in the RS-485 devices in network, for sending SMS to the set telephone numbers.

    ~ 7 ~ The device can also be connected by Ethernet/GSM protocol in Modbus TCP for data exchange with the devices in RS-485 network with EM-486 unit. The controller receives and processes SMS with a password and command read/write for Modbus devices.

    ~ 10 ~ Figure 4 – Sensors connection diagram 2.3 OPERATING EM-486 2.3.1 General information After power supply is provided to the unit, all indicators light up, except for «Ethernet» and «GSM», and the unit performs the initialization. After this for 1 second the indicators, except for indicator of power, light down, and the unit proceeds to start the interface of networks connection.

If the connection between EM-486 and a client unit is not provided directly but via a network with a number of units, the mentioned address can not be equal to any of the addresses of other units on the subnet.

  • Page 32 6. CONNECTION TO SERVER EM-486 has a mode of continuous connection with the data accumulation and control server. In this mode the device program can be read or changed from the server, the data is sent and accumulated on the server, thereat the accumulated data is saved on the unit SD memory card in case of cut off and will be sent to the server after communication is restored.

Overvis makes it possible to read the data and make control over the devices including EM-486, provided there is a connection with them, to save the data in the base, review the data in appropriate form, to receive alarm messages as SMS or E-Mail.

    «EM486FW3.FUS» from folder «UPGRADES» located on SD memory card. EM-486 uses for integrated software updating the files in folder «FW» on the SD memory card: Integrated software can be updated from any file in this folder via WEB-interface or in a special mode of software updating.
