TROUBLESHOOTING

WARNING
Do not open the set as there is a risk of electric
shock! Under no circumstances should you try to
repair the set yourself, as this will invalidate the
guarantee.

If a fault occurs, first check the points listed below before
taking the set for repair.
If you are unable to remedy a problem by following these
hints, consult your dealer or service centre.
Remedy
Adjust the VOLUME
Disconnect headphones
Disconnect the unit from the mains supply,
reconnect after a few seconds
Connect speaker poles correctly: marked cable
to red terminal; unmarked cable to black
terminal
Increase the distance
FM: Direct the FM aerial wire for optimum
reception
Replace/ clean CD, see Maintenance
Use a finalised CD-R(W)
Wait until lens has cleared
Replace or clean CD
Switch off SHUFFLE / PROGRAM
Clean deck parts, see Maintenance
Only use NORMAL (IEC I) or CHROME (IEC II)
for recording
Apply a piece of adhesive tape over the missing
tab space
Disconnect the unit from the mains supply,
reconnect after a few seconds. Press OPEN
Insert fresh batteries
Insert the batteries correctly
Reduce the distance/ angle
