Slots for expansion cards
The server can be flexibly expanded via six full hight PCIe Gen3 low profile
adapters (3 PCIe x8, 3 PCIe x16).
One horizontal chassis slot is occupied by the OCP module.

HDDs/SSDs
The server is shipped with one of the following drive cages:
– For up to twelve 3.5-inch SAS/SATA HDDs:
Up to twelve SAS HDD modules can be used in the drive cage. Each HDD
module can accommodate a SAS HDD with a maximum height of 1 inch.
The module is connected to the SAS backplane wirelessly. This allows
HDD/SSD modules to be plugged in and pulled out easily.
Optionally, you can also install a HDD expansion box (Multibay 2, see also
section
"Accessible drives / components" on page

– For up to thirty-two 2.5-inch SAS HDDs/SSDs:
Up to thirty-two SAS HDD/SSD modules can be used in the drive cage. Each
HDD/SSD module can accommodate an SAS HDD/SSD with a 2.5-inch
format. The module is connected to the SAS backplane wirelessly. This
allows HDD/SSD modules to be plugged in or pulled out easily.
Optionally, you can also install a HDD expansion box (with up to eight 2.5-
inch SAS HDD/SSD modules). An additional SAS controller must be
installed in order to control the HDDs in this expansion box. The HDDs in this
expansion box are controlled by a SAS expansion card or by a second 8-
Port RAID Controller.
