4.1.1 Test

The rated motor current must be set on PKZM4-.../XTPR...DC1 by means of
the current dial a (→ table 1, page 20) prior to initial commissioning of the
motor-protective circuit-breaker.
The motor circuit-breaker is equipped with a testing feature b (→ figure 1,
page 19). The active PKZM4-.../XTPR...DC1 motor-protective circuit-breaker
can be tripped by actuating the test release with the help of a screwdriver.
This opens all power contacts and thus takes the output lines off voltage.
DANGER
Faulty devices must not be opened and repaired.
They must be replaced by specialist personnel.
WARNING
If the motor-protective circuit-breaker is installed at a cool
location (e.g. -5 °C) und the motor is installed at a warm motor
location (e.g. 40 °C), it is possible that there will be a delayed
release during an overload if the devices are operated in the
lower current setting range.
