Notes about the installation

Note the following when selecting a place for
installation:
No wires or tubing must be located
f
beneath the surface on which the device
is to be installed.
Do not install the device in a place,
where it is subjected to direct sunlight,
f
near hot air outlets (heating, etc.),
f
where it is subjected to rain or moisture,
f
where it is subjected to dust or dirt,
f
f where it is subjected to strong vibrations.

Installation
Risk of battery discharge!
If terminals 15 (ignition) and 30
(battery) are bridged when connect-
ing the device, it consumes full opera-
ting current even if it is switched off.
Without further disconnection on the
vehicle side there is the risk of
battery discharge.
We accept no responsibility for any
damage that may occur as a result of
this.
Note:
When you connect the device, refer
to the chapter "ISO connector and
connection cables".
Note:
If you replace the previous model
DVP 07 with the DVP 08, you must
take into account the modified power
supply connection of the DVP 08 via
chamber A, pin A4 (ignition) and pin
A7 (battery).
Note that the Molex plug for the DVP
07 only provides a power supply via
the vehicle ignition (Molex plug, pin
4). The DVP 08 additionally requires
a power supply from the battery via
the Molex plug, pin 1.
If you want to install the device yourself, please
use the supplied mounting frame.
