Using the Safety Buzzer
The A5523T is equipped with a Safety Buzzer function.
The Safety Buzzer can used to make a loud noise in emergency situations.
Safety Buzzer Settings

When the stanby screen is
displayed, press
@28, use G to
select ON and then press
@ (OK).
・At the time of purchase, the Safety Buzzer is set to OFF.
To sound the Safety Buzzer
When the stanby screen is displayed, hold down
second.
To stop the Safety Buzzer
Enter the Lock No. and press
Keying in an emergency services number (110, 119 or 118) also stops
the Safety Buzzer.
Note Note
・The Safety Buzzer continues until you turn it off or remove the battery pack or until
the battery pack runs out of charge.
・You cannot adjust the buzzer volume.
・The buzzer is emitted through the speaker even when the Toshiba flat-type stereo
earphone 04 is connected or manner mode is selected.
・The Safety Buzzer is not necessarily intended to prevent crime or to protect your
safety.
・Do not sound the Safety Buzzer close to your ear. This could damage your hearing.
・Take care when setting up or using the Safety Buzzer as it can be activated
accidentally (by a child, etc.).
・The Safety Buzzer will not sound from screens other than the standby screen, when
a Standby EZapps is starting up or when the cell phone is turned off.
・You cannot receive calls while the A5523T is emitting the Safety Buzzer. Also, you

cannot make calls other than to the emergency services (110, 119 or 118).
