Playable discs

Using this recorder, you can play and
record on the following discs:
Recording and Playback
DVD±RW
(DVD ReWritable);
can be recorded on
over and over.
DVD±R
(DVD Recordable);
can be recorded on
only once.
DVD+R DL
(DVD+R Double Layer);
same as DVD±R.
Playback only:
DVD Video (Digital Versatile

CD-RW (CD-ReWritable)

IMPORTANT!
– If the inhibit icon 'X' appears on
the TV screen when a button is
pressed, it means the function is not
available on the current disc or at
the current time.
– DVD discs and players are
designed with regional restrictions.
Before playing a disc, ensure that
the disc is for the same region zone
as your player.

Starting disc playback

Press STANDBY-ON 2 to turn on
A
the recorder.
B
Press OPEN/CLOSE
control.
C
Carefully place the disc into the tray with
the label facing up, then press
ç
OPEN/CLOSE
For double-sided discs, load the side
which you want to play facing up.
D
Turn on the TV to the correct viewing
channel for the recorder.
E
Playback may start automatically.
Alternatively, press DISC on the remote
control. Navigate to the track/title to
play and press u.
This recorder has resume playback
ability. Playback will always begin at the
last stopped point.
If the pin code entry dialogue appears on
the TV, this means that the child lock was
activated for the inserted disc. You have
to enter your four-digit pin code.
