Two kinds of sewing modes (AUTO & MANUAL) are available.
●AUTO : Each step is automatically switched by stitch counting. (The number of stitches is displayed.)
●MANUAL : Each step is switched manually by pressing the knee switch. (The number of stitches is not displayed.)
Select AUTO or MANUAL mode when entering sewing data in each step for any pattern as desired. Then there is no need to
select AUTO or MANUAL mode when starting the machine. Perform an actual sewing operation as shown below. The following
procedures should be performed with elastic lace correctly inserted and the pneumatic tape cutter (optional on MD441)
installed.
1
. Turn on the machine.
2
. Call up an item (program) number to be sewn.
Perform the procedures
"Changing PGM (items)" on page 28.
3
. Position the fabric.
Note
The light from the sensor is interrupted by
the fabric.
In this condition, whether the tape cutter
gets activated at the start of sewing or not
is determined by selecting ON or OFF in
the Middle cutting function mode.
4
. Press the machine treadle with toes.
Note
If you select "ON" in the AT START function, the tape
cutter will get activated automatically at the start of sewing.
5
. In the AUTO mode, switching each step is controlled by
stitch counting. Therefore the machine goes to the next
step automatically.
6
. In the MANUAL mode, to go to the next step, press the
knee switch.
7
. When the AUTO mode is selected at the last step, the cutter gets activated automatically.
When the MANUAL mode is selected at the last step, press the finger switch to cut the elastic lace.
Note
If you select "ON" in the AT END function, the tape cutter will get activated automatically at the end of sewing.
・
If both the AT function and the standard stop motor are used, the machine will stop automatically at the value preset (by
・
stitch counting) with the AT END function, regardless of ON or OFF in the AT END function mode.
Check the first sewn product to see carefully if the machine runs properly :
• Increasing/decreasing the number of stitches is correct.
After checking the above, change sewing data as needed.
