The electrostimulation device is supplied with
cables and electrodes for use. Once the packa-
ge has been opened, check that the basic
equipment is complete. If any element is missing,
immediately contact the authorized dealer from
which you purchased the product.
Visually check the integrity of the device and
electrodes.
Electrodes: The supplied electrodes are for use
on a single patient, self-adhesive and pregelled
with a female cable. They are EC-marked accor-
ding to directive 93/42/EEC concerning medical
devices.
All the information provided may be subject to

STANDARD SYMBOLS
The marks indicate that, according to EC regula-
tions, the product is a class II and type BF medi-
cal device .

This symbol on your device indicates
that it meets the requirements of direc-
tive (93/42/EEC) concerning medical
0476
devices. The number of the notified
body is 0476.
CONTRAINDICATIONS AND WARNINGS
Should not be used in the following cases:
- Stimulation of the front part of the neck (caro-
tid sinus).
- Pacemaker patients.
- Tumour patients (see your oncologist).
- Stimulation of the brain region.
- Pain of unknown aetiology.
- Skin sores and other dermatological patholo-
gies.
- Acute trauma.
- Stimulation on recent scars.
- Pregnancy.
-It is absolutely forbidden to use the electrostimu-
lator in the eye or genital region.
- Use of the electrostimulator in water (the devi-
ce is not water-proof) and in atmospheres with
combustible gases, flammable vapours or in oxy-
gen chambers.
- Use of the device on or near areas characteri-
sed by metallic synthesis means and intratissular
metals (such as prostheses, osteosynthesis mate-
rials, spirals, screws, plates), if single-phase cur-
rents are used such as interferentials and direct
current (ionophoresis);
Caution is advised in case of patients suffering
from capillary fragility, as excessive stimulation
may cause capillary rupture.
