5. Installation

The device features NTSC/ PAL auto detection. Therefore, connect the camera(s) before power-on.
Before installing a HD, make sure it is set to Master.
When you have installed a new HD, format it first: press <MENU>, select 'ENGINEERING SETUP', then 'HARDDISK
ERASE' and press <ENTER>.

6. System Setup

a. Monitoring Mode
The device automatically enters monitoring mode after power on: select < >, < >, < > or < > for full screen
monitoring or < / > for quad screen monitoring ; press < / > again to enter sequence mode.
In monitoring mode, press <PLAY> to playback the latest recorded video or <SEARCH> to search a video fragment.
b. Playback Mode
Press <PLAY> to playback the latest recorded video, select < >, < >, < > or < > for full screen monitoring or
< / > for quad screen monitoring.
Image search: press <F.F.> or <
Press <PLAY> to return to normal playback speed.
Pause / Frame by frame: press <STEP> once to pause playback. Press it repeatedly to advance frame by frame.
Press <PLAY> to return to normal playback speed.
Stop Playback: press <STOP> to stop playback and return to monitoring mode.
c. Search Mode
Search a fragment by camera, date and/or time.
Press <SEARCH> and the image to the right will appear:
Use the <←> or <→> button to move the cursor (highlighted part) up or
down to the parameter you want to adjust, press <+> and <-> or <
< > to change the value and to move the index bar.
Camera: select the camera (All, 1, 2, 3 or 4) that made the recording.
