CHECKS

BEFORE THE FIRST IGNITION
When igniting the boiler for the first time, check that:
- the system has been filled to the right pressure and vented.
- there are no water or fuel leaks;
- the unit is correctly powered;
- the flue has been connected correctly and does not pass through or is not in the vicinity of flammable
materials;
- there are no flammable substances in the vicinity;
- the burner is proportional to the power of the unit;
- the water shutoff valves are open;
- the position and calibration of the thermostats have been checked;
- the water flow rate has been checked.
AFTER THE FIRST IGNITION
After the first ignition, check that:
- the burner operates correctly (using the appropriate tools);
- the thermostats operate correctly;
- water circulates correctly;
- all fumes are completely extracted through the flue.

TURNING ON AND OFF

FIRST IGNITION

Once all preliminary checks have been completed, carry out the ignition procedure:
- open the fuel shutoff valve;
- set the appliance thermostat to the required setting;
- close the switch upstream of the unit and the Summer/Winter switch on the control panel.
TURNING OFF THE UNIT
For brief periods of disuse, simply turn the unit off at the ON/OFF switch on the control panel.
To avoid damage caused by freezing during long shutdowns in winter, drain all water from the system and
add a suitable antifreeze product.
