The 5-step octave switch selects octave transpose. This is handy if your keyboard does not have the full range or just for quick live changes. The 1 O’clock position is the normal 16’ footage. This is ideal for slow beating detuned effects. When you select SEMI, the Detune control will allow you to transpose the second oscillator by +/-8 semitones.
