Mounting
It is advised to place the IP (+ GPRS) transceiver in the cabinet of the control panel. If the control
-
panel has a metal casing it must have a proper earth connection.
If the IP (+ GPRS) transceiver is used in combination with a Alphatronics CP-508LCD or NG control
-
panel equipped with a RS-485 connection the transceiver can be connected to the RS-485 bus. Use
the 4 blue terminal blocks (+, A, B, O).
If the IP transceiver is used in combination with a random control panel containing a analog dialer
-
then the analog dialer can be connected to the PSTN input (CMK) of the IP transceiver. If the
control panel's dialer is still connected to a telephone line (or VoIP), remove this connection.
Connect the control panels analog dialer to the PSTN input (CMK) on the IP (+ GPRS) transceiver.
-
Attention: the cable between the dialler and IP (+ GPRS) transceiver must not exceed 30m.
Connect the LAN connection of the IP transceiver to a free LAN port on the router.
-
Next, connect the LAN connection of your laptop to a free LAN port of the internal network.
-
-
Set dipswitches 2*
Connect a 12VDC power supply from the control panel to the IP (+ GPRS) transceiver.
-
*)
Dipswitch 2 set to ON temporarily sets the IP address of the IP (+ GPRS) transceiver to 192.168.0.48
and allows logging into the web-browser by entering the standard User (admin) and no password.
Dipswitch 2 can remain OFF when a User name and password is already programmed and known.
**)
Dipswitch 3 to ON ensures access to the web-browser programming. For a complete list of
dipswitch settings see chapter dipswitch settings.
