The AlphaCom PSTN-2-IP, AlphaCom PSTN-2-IP GPRS and AlphaVision IP + GPRS transceiver can be
powered in two ways: with the RJ10 connection (net adapter art. code 200079) or directly on the + and 0V
terminals of the RS-485 bus connection.
Attention: when the IP (+ GPRS) transceiver is connected to the RS-485 bus, a choice must be made for the
following:
Either the IP (+ GPRS) transceiver is powered through the RS-485 bus. This is the most common
situation.
Or the IP (+ GPRS) transceiver is powered by an external power supply through the RJ10
connection. This is not common when also connecting to the RS-485 bus. If this is however the
case then only the A, B and 0V wires of the RS-485 bus must be connected !.
The analog dialer of the control panel is connected to the alarm dialler RJ-11 input (marked with CMK).
Only the two middle wires (2 and 3) are used.
