Introduction
The AquaClean filter provides filtered water to protect
your coffee machine and to ensure an intensive taste
and aroma of your coffee.
Important
Read this important information carefully before you use
the AquaClean filter and save it for future reference.
Warning
-
The AquaClean filter is only designed for use with
municipally treated tap water (which is constantly
controlled and safe to drink according to legal
regulations) and with water from private supplies which
has been approved as safe to drink. If an instruction
is received from the authorities that municipal water
must be boiled, the filtered water must also be boiled.
When the instruction to boil water is no longer in force,
the entire coffee machine must be cleaned and a new
cartridge inserted.

Clean the water tank regularly.

For certain groups of people (e.g. people with
weakened immune systems and babies) it is
generally recommended to boil tap water. This also
applies to filtered water.

For hygienic reasons, the material of the AquaClean
filter is subjected to a special treatment with silver.
A small quantity of silver, which is harmless to
health, may end up in the filtered water. This is in
compliance with the World Health Organisation
(WHO) recommendations for drinking water.

If you suffer from kidney disease, are a dialysis
patient and/or follow a sodium-restricted diet,
please note that during the filtration process, the
sodium content may be increased slightly. We
advise you to consult your doctor first before using
the filtered water.

When you descale the coffee machine, always
remove the AquaClean filter from the water tank.
Then thoroughly clean the whole water tank and
replace the AquaClean filter.

Saeco does not accept any responsibility or liability if
the above recommendations for using and replacing
the AquaClean filter are not followed.
Caution
-
Store replacement AquaClean filter in a cool and
dry place in their original, sealed packaging.

As water is a foodstuff, the water in the water tank
must be used up within 1 to 2 days.

If you have not used your coffee machine for a
prolonged period (e.g. a holiday, a period over
3 months from installation, or when a new filter
is required), perform the procedure described in
chapter ‚Preparing for use'.
Preparing for use

Remove the AquaClean filter from its packaging.
Shake the filter for about 5 seconds (Fig. 1).

Immerse the filter upside down in a jug with cold
water and wait until no more air bubbles come out.

Remove the water tank from the machine and insert
the filter vertically onto the filter connection (Fig. 3).
Press it down until it cannot move further.
4 Fill the water tank with fresh clean water and place
it back into the machine (Fig. 4).
5 Use the provided sticker to write down the date of
the filter activation. Place the sticker on the water
tank (Fig. 5).
6 If the machine has a display make sure you activate the
filter in the machine menu. Follow the user instructions
provided with the machine (Fig. 6).
Note: The claim „No descaling for up to 5000 cups*"
is valid only for machines having the AquaClean
sticker on the water tank. *Actual number of cups
depends on selected coffee varieties, rinsing and
cleaning patterns

To rinse the filter, let 17 fl oz water flow out from
the dispensing spout or steam tube of espresso
machine. Discard this water. (Fig. 7)
Note: If you have not used your coffee machine for a
short period (e.g. 2 weeks), perform steps 1 to 4 with
the installed AquaClean filter. Then dispense a cup of
hot water (8.4 fl ozl).
The filter and machine are now ready for use.
Replacement
Replace the AquaClean filter at least every
3 months or at machine request.

Introducción
El filtro AquaClean proporciona agua filtrada para
proteger su cafetera y garantizar un sabor y un aroma
intenso en su café.
Importante
Antes de usar el filtro AquaClean, lea atentamente esta
información importante y consérvela por si necesitara
consultarla en el futuro.

El filtro AquaClean está diseñado únicamente para
su uso con agua de grifo potable (cuyo consumo
es seguro y está controlado de acuerdo con las
normativas legales) o con agua de suministros
privados aprobada como apta para el consumo.
Si las autoridades advierten de que es necesario
hervir el agua, el agua filtrada también deberá
hervirse. Cuando esta indicación deje de estar
vigente, deberá limpiar la cafetera por completo e
insertar un cartucho nuevo.

Limpie el depósito de agua con regularidad.

Para determinados grupos de personas
(por ejemplo, personas con sistemas
inmunológicos debilitados y bebés), normalmente
se recomienda hervir el agua del grifo. Esto
también se aplica al agua filtrada.

Por motivos de higiene, el material del cartucho
de filtrado AquaClean se somete a un tratamiento
especial con plata. Una pequeña cantidad de plata,
inofensiva para la salud, podría pasar al agua filtrada.
Este procedimiento cumple las recomendaciones
de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) con
respecto al agua potable.

Si padece una enfermedad renal, se está
sometiendo a diálisis o sigue una dieta restringida
en sodio, tenga en cuenta que, durante el proceso
de filtrado, el contenido de sodio puede aumentar
ligeramente. Le recomendamos que consulte a su
médico antes de empezar a utilizar el agua filtrada.

Cuando elimine los depósitos de cal de la
cafetera, retire el filtro AquaClean del depósito de
agua. Limpie con cuidado el depósito de agua y
reemplace el filtro AquaClean.

Saeco no asume responsabilidad alguna en el caso
de que no se sigan las recomendaciones anteriores
para el uso y la sustitución del cartucho de filtrado
de AquaClean.
Precaución

Guarde los filtros AquaClean de repuesto en
un lugar seco y fresco y en su embalaje original
cerrado.

Dado que es un producto alimenticio, el agua del
depósito debe consumirse en 1 o 2 días.

Si no ha utilizado la cafetera durante un período de
tiempo prolongado (por ejemplo, unas vacaciones,
un período de más de 3 meses desde su instalación
o cuando se necesite un nuevo filtro), realice el
procedimiento descrito en el capítulo ‚Preparación
para su uso'.
Preparación para su uso

Retire el filtro AquaClean del embalaje. Sacuda el
filtro durante unos 5 segundos (Fig. 1).

Sumerja el filtro boca abajo en una jarra de agua
fría y espere hasta que no salgan (Fig. 2) más
burbujas de aire.

Extraiga el depósito de agua del aparato e inserte el
filtro verticalmente en la ranura (Fig. 3).
Presione hacia abajo hasta que el filtro no se
pueda mover más.
4 Llene el depósito con agua limpia y colóquelo de
nuevo en la cafetera (Fig. 4).
5 Utilice la pegatina adjunta para anotar la fecha
de activación del filtro. Coloque la pegatina en el
depósito de agua (Fig. 5).
6 Si la máquina dispone de pantalla, asegúrese de
activar el filtro en el menú del aparato. Siga las
instrucciones del manual de usuario disponibles
junto al aparato (Fig. 6).
Nota: El mensaje „Hasta 5000 tazas sin tener que
eliminar la cal*" es válido únicamente en aparatos
con la pegatina de AquaClean adherida al depósito
de agua. *El número real de tazas depende de las
variedades de café seleccionadas y de los patrones
de aclarado y limpieza.

Para enjuagar el filtro, deje que salga 17 fl oz de
agua de la boquilla dispensadora o del tubo de
vapor de la cafetera expreso. Deseche esta agua.

Nota: Si no ha utilizado la cafetera durante un corto
período de tiempo (por ejemplo, dos semanas), realice
los pasos 1-4 con el filtro AquaClean instalado. Dispense
una taza de agua caliente (8.4 fl oz).
El filtro y el aparato ya están listos para usar.
