Product Summary

The Outdoor P-CAM Model DCV250/DCV650/DCV750 is a wireless,
outdoor motion activated camera designed for use in VIDEOFIED
security systems.
The Outdoor P-CAM includes the following features:
>
Totally wireless, battery operated.
>
Wide angle lens with infrared LED for night illumination.
>
Transmits check-in/status signal every 8 minutes.
>
Mobility - Use outdoors or indoors with a fully weather
proof casing withstanding temperatures from -20° to +60°C
(-10°/+140°F).
Programming/RF Testing
The following provides summarized steps for device
programming and testing. For complete details, refer
to the control panel installation manual.

Separate base from Outdoor Camera by removing the four
screws.

Place batteries with correct polarity.

Put the control panel into configuration mode to add a
new device, using the keypad.

When prompted by the keypad press the programming
button on the back of the Outdoor Camera.
Press YES on the keypad. The display shows RADIO

RANGE TEST? Press YES again. The Camera LED starts
flashing and keypad display shows TEST IN PROGRESS.

Take Camera to its intended mounting location and
make sure LED flashes continuously, indicating good
communication with control panel.

Press YES to end radio range test, then press ESC/NO.
8 The display shows AREA ASSIGNMENT AREA: 1. Press
either arrow button repeatedly until desired AREA
number appears, then press YES.

Installation Guidelines

For easier installation, programming and RF testing

should be done to check for good communication between the
control panel and all system devices before mounting system
devices. Install the Camera and other system devices in the
following order:
>
Programming/RF Testing - program Outdoor Camera and
all other devices into the control panel and test
RF communication from each intended device
location to the control panel.
>
Mounting - mount Camera at the tested location.
9 The display shows NAME + LOCATION. Enter appropriate
device name/location (up to 16 characters), then press
YES. The display shows the device number and name
for your verification.

Press YES. The display shows FUNCTIONAL DEVICE
TEST? Press YES again and verify camera operation.
For example, wave your hand in front of the camera to
activate its LED indicating detection. (walk test LED)
Press YES to end detection verification.

When finished, exit from configuration mode.
