    Inserting the batteries Batteries are included with your Lactate Scout+. Two LR03 / AAA (1.5 V) batteries must be inserted prior to the initial use of your Lactate Scout+. Alkaline or zinc carbon batteries can be used. Only use batteries of the same type. If the time to replace the batteries exceeds one minute, the date and time setting will be lost and must be re-entered (see page 20).
