Remove the radiator shroud (7 scrivets). Push in the centre of the scrivets and pull up the shroud to remove. Take care to retain all scrivets. Disconnect the (-) negative battery terminal cable.
- Page 5 Fitting Instructions UH9000S / UH9060S / UH9080S Unclip (4 [ ]) and remove the front passenger’s side scuff plate. UH9060S / UH9080S only - Remove the glovebox. Open the glovebox and remove the (2) stopper pins by rotating 90º and pulling out. Unclip the damper rod. Open the glovebox fully and pull away from the lower retaining clips.
- Page 6 Fitting Instructions UH9000S / UH9060S / UH9080S Using a trim removal tool remove the (1) xmas tree clip and fold down the passenger’s side footwell carpet. Using a trim removal tool remove the (1) xmas tree clip and fold down the driver’s side footwell carpet. Place protective tape around the air conditioning control panel as shown.

Fitting Instructions UH9000S / UH9060S / UH9080S INSTALLATION Antenna Remove the sleeve, spacer washer, lock washer and nut from the antenna. Pass the antenna cable through the antenna mounting hole. Secure the antenna to the mount using the sleeve, spacer washer, lock washer and nut. - Page 8 Fitting Instructions UH9000S / UH9060S / UH9080S Route the antenna cable under the washer bottle filler tube. Follow the existing wiring harness around the battery tray and under the accessory fuse box towards the firewall. At the completion of the installation, cable tie the antenna harness to the existing wiring harness where indicated [ ].
- Page 9 Fitting Instructions UH9000S / UH9060S / UH9080S Carefully pull the lead wire and antenna cable through from the passenger’s side footwell. IMPORTANT Use silicon spray to allow the antenna cable to pass through the grommet more easily. At the completion of the installation process seal the antenna cable grommet entry point with an automotive grade sealant and secure with a cable tie.
- Page 10 To UHF CB To UHF CB transceiver transceiver Hilux Position the power lead patch harness fuse holder/s neatly behind the driver’s side instrument panel finish cushion and carpet. Cable tie [ ] using self-adhesive cable tie mounting blocks where necessary to avoid fouling and rattling.
- Page 11 Fitting Instructions UH9000S / UH9060S / UH9080S Disconnect the right hand side power socket connector and dehouse the (2) connector pins from the right hand side power socket connector [1]. House the (2) removed pins in the free power lead patch harness connector [2].
- Page 12 Fitting Instructions UH9000S / UH9060S / UH9080S Slide the UHF CB transceiver into the cradle and connect the power lead patch harness. Fit the antenna adapter (supplied) to the antenna cable and connect to the UHF CB transceiver. UH9060S / UH9080S Fold back the insulation padding from the underside of the front passenger’s side instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.
- Page 13 Fitting Instructions UH9000S / UH9060S / UH9080S Position the speaker microphone extension cable in the driver’s side footwell just below the centre console in the position shown. Refit the front passenger’s side instrument panel under cover. Ensure the UHF CB transceiver is clear of any components.
- Page 14 Fitting Instructions UH9000S / UH9060S / UH9080S Speaker Microphone UH9000S Hang the speaker microphone on the hanger and connect the cable to the UHF CB transceiver. Ensure the speaker microphone cable routing does not interfere with any of the vehicle’s controls. UH9060S / 9080S Hang the speaker microphone on the hanger and connect the cable to the speaker microphone extension cable.
