results, follow these loading
guidelines.

Upper
Rack
The upper rack is primarilyfor glasses, cups, and saucers. For best
wash performance, tilt cup and glass openings toward the center of
the rack. Other itemssuch as pots, pans, and plates may be placed in
the upper rack. This is also a secure place for dishwasher-safe plastic
items.The upper rack can be used for odd sized utensils.Sauce pans,
mixingbowls, and other similarlyshaped items should be placed face
down for best wash performance. Ensure small plastic itemsare secure
sothat they cannotfall on the heaterat the bottomof the dishwasher,
potentiallydamagingthe item.Somemodelsare equipped with a
hiddenheater, s o dishwasher s afeplasticitemscan be placedin the
lowerrack.
TheBottle Wash system(on some
models) isthe ideal locationto position
baby bottlesand tall sports bottles.
TheBottle Wush clips hold bottles
with smallopeningsin placesowater
jets are directedinsidethe bottlesto
cleanhardto reachareas.Clipscan be
installedor removedbysimplyslipping
theclipopening overthetop ofthe nozzle.

by pushingthe longflapson eachside
of the rack.Thiswill allowyou to lower
the rack(seefig. UpperRack). T oraise
the rack,lift up on the rack untilthe rack
locksin place.

Toadd flexibility in loading,the utility

Theshelf may also be usedto secure
stemwaresuch as wine glasses.
Becausethese stemwareitemscome
in varioussizes,slowlypushthe rack
in to ensurethe items do not bump
into the edgesof the dishwasher,
which may causedamageto the items.
Thefold down tines Ion some models)provide
flexibility for extra-largeand hard-to-fit items.
Thetine rows can be adjusted to a vertical or
lay-down position.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that itemsdo not protrudethroughthe bottom of
the rackor silverwarebasket(onsomemodels)where they will block
the rotationof the middlesprayarm.Thiscouldresultin noiseduring
operationand/or poorwash performance.
