TheEasyAccessSilverware Baskets(on GDF570 and
DDTS7S models)may be positionedon the front of
eitherthe upper or lower racks.Securethe basketto
the rack usingthe wire loop on the front of the upper
and lowerracksto engagethe tabs on the rear of the
basket.
On other models, the silverware basket may be
positionedby placingthe hooks on the back of the
basketoverthe top wireon the sidesof the lowerrack.
Placeflatware in the removablesilverwarebaskets.
SharpobJects, suchasforksand knives, m ay be placed
with the handlesfacing up, in order to protectyour
hands. For the best wash performance,place other
items such as spoonswith the handlesfacing down.
Avoidallowingitemsto nesttogether,which may keep
them from being properly washed. When loading,
distributeitemsevenlyin the basket.
The silverwarebasketsmay also be used for small
items,suchas measuringspoons,babybottle nipples,
plasticlids,or corn cob holders. T hesilverwarebasket
coverscanbe closedto containsmallitems.
Donot load largeor tall utensils wherethey may block
the detergent dispenser,mid spray arm, or become
trapped betweenthe door and the gasketwhen the
door isclosed.
