carefully fill the tank and wipe away any spills with a dry cloth. Fully tighten the fuel cap. Set the carburettor CHOKE lever to Pump the FUEL PRIMER BULB as shown :‐ COLD START as shown :‐ Set the ON/OFF control on the control handle to ON. NB: Your handle will either state ON/OFF or 1 / 0. In this case 1 means ON. To turn the engine off, set to OFF / 0. Pull the starter handle 2 or 3 times. If the engine starts, reduce the choke lever to mid‐position and let the engine run for 5‐10 seconds and then turn the choke lever fully down to RUN position and let it idle for around a minute before using. If your engine does not start after 2 or 3 pulls, set the choke control to mid‐way position and try again. NB: Continuous attempts to start the engine with the choke fully on may flood the engine. Should this happen, take out the spark plug with the spark plug spanner provided, dry the plug with a dry rag and replace. If you are starting the engine after recently using it ( ie, the engine is still hot), DO NOT attempt to re‐start the engine with the choke on. ON NO ACCOUNT ATTEMPT TO CONNECT ACCESSORIES WHILST THE ENGINE IS RUNNING ! LET THE ENGINE IDLE FOR HALF MINUTE TO COOL BEFORE FULLY STOPPING IT.THE ROTATING FLYWHEEL WILL HELP TO COOL THE ENGINE! A SUDDEN STOP OF A FAST RUNNING SPEED ENGINE WILL CAUSE A HEAT RISE AND COULD DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE. Max. cutting diameter of green vegetation approx. 17mm is possible but for regular use we recommend keeping to 12mm. Cutting direction is angle‐adjustable through 180 degrees. Can be used with extension pole (BE007) if required. Keep blades sharp, clean and well oiled. Maintain grease level in gearbox after 25 hours of use. Maintain factory adjusted gap between top and bottom blade. Check from time to time and adjust blade connecting bolts if necessary by first loosening the top lock nut, then screw in the blade bolt until snug, then loosen blade bolt half a turn. Line Trimmer: 12cm diameter double line bump feed spool. 45cm trim width. Brush Cutter: Triple edged blade with max.10” trim width. Fitting the guard to the brush cutter/line trimmer shaft : Slide the chromed metal guard holder already affixed to the shaft into the recess in the plastic guard. Line up the 4 holes. Fix and tighten the 4 bolts supplied. Attaching the brush cutter blade: Push the bush and the blade seat onto the end of the shaft. Then put the blade onto the seat. Fit the domed cover, then the securing nut and tighten the nut anti‐clockwise. If a split pin is provided, fit. To remove, first remove the split pin (if fitted), line up the 2 holes and push a screwdriver or other metal shaft through. Hold tightly and turn the nut clockwise using a wrench. ...
