Risks from hot liquids and
steam
Risk of scalding!
While using the kettle, hot
steam will come out which
can lead to scalding.
Avoid any contact with hot
■
steam during the heat-
ing process, when refi lling
the jug and when the lid
is open. In particular, keep
your face out of the way.
Do not open the lid during
■
operation.
When the appliance is hot,
■
allow it to cool for at least
15-20 seconds before fi lling
with cold water.
If the jug is over-fi lled or if
the lid is open, hot water may
spurt out during boiling. This
can lead to scalding.
Do not fi ll the jug past the
■
MAX fi ll level mark.
Ensure that the lid is closed
■
during operation.
If the appliance falls down,
contact with hot water can
lead to scalding.
Do not allow the mains
■
cord to hang over the edge
of the worktop on which
the appliance is standing.
Do not stand the jug di-
■
rectly on the edge of the
worktop.
Drinking water that is boiling
hot can cause scalding.
Take care when drinking
■
freshly heated water.
Health risks
Health hazard!
Improper use of the appli-
ance may lead to damage to
health.
For hygiene reasons, pour
■
away the fi rst three batches
of boiled water from your
new kettle.
Heat and pour away a full
■
batch of water after desca-
ling and after prolonged
periods of disuse.
Risks to children
Risk of suffocation!
