Replacing batteries

Lead-acid AGM batteries contain hazardous, poisonous substances.
When handling the batteries, and during transport and disposal,
local regulations must be adhered to.
Warning!
Batteries are subject to the risk of an excessively high short-circuit
current. To prevent this, do not connect anything between the bat-
tery contacts and other conductive parts.

The batteries must only be replaced with the original battery set (1518/99 UPS).
Other batteries may result in problems because of their connections and dimen-
sions.
Risk of electric shock!
Before opening the housing of the uninterruptible power supply, you
must disconnect it from the power. Failure to observe this may re-
sult in persons touching live parts or experiencing serious injury.

For this reason, you should remove any watches, bracelets, rings
and other metal objects before starting work on the open inter-
ruptible power supply.
Only use tools with handles that have standard insulation.
