The menu section RX is indicated by
the button SET to select the menu item desired
The order of the two functions for frequency set-
ting (chapter 5 1 1 and chapter 5 1 2) depends
on which of the two functions has been most
recently used

5.1.1 Selecting a frequency from a group

indication
The radio frequency can be selected from a group
of predefined frequencies (channels) Six groups
are available; the number of channels per group
varies (
 table, chapter 9 1)
When multiple systems are operated in par-
allel, it is recommended to use channels from the
same group The number of channels that can be
used in parallel depends on the conditions at the
place of application (e g on interference due to
transmitters of other wireless systems or high-fre-
quency sources such as fluorescent lamps) The
scan function (
the selection of interference-free channels
1) The character "G" starts flashing: Use the
button
or
press the button SET
2) The characters "CH" start flashing: Use the
button
or
press the button SET to save the setting

5.1.2 Setting the frequency directly

indication
To select the desired radio frequency from a
choice of 1441 available radio frequencies:
1) The first three digits of the frequency shown
start flashing: Use the button
the frequency in steps of 1 MHz and then press
the button SET
2) The last three digits of the frequency shown
start flashing: Use the button
the frequency in steps of 0 025 MHz and then
press SET to save the frequency
If the frequency is identical to the fre-
quency of a channel in a group, the group
number and the channel number will be
shown on the display

to select the group and then
to select the channel and then

5.1.3 Activating / Deactivating the scan function

Use
When the scan function is activated, the receiver
will check during channel selection (
5 1 1) if this frequency is already being used for
transmission (meanwhile the display will show
the next interference-free channel will automat-
ically be selected
Press the button SET to save the setting

5.1.4 Activating / Deactivating the attenuation

To connect the XLR output (11) to a microphone
input, the signal level of this output can be at-
tenuated by 20 dB
Press the button SET to save the setting

5.1.5 Setting the squelch value

The threshold value for the squelch function is
adjustable This function will mute the receiver
when the level of the radio signal falls below the
threshold value Thus, interference signals will not
cause noise when the transmitter is switched off
or when its radio signal is poor: If the levels of
or
to set
the interference signals are below the threshold
value, the receiver will be muted
A high threshold value offers high interfer-
ence resistance, but it will also reduce the trans-
mission range: If the strength of the radio signal
or
to set
from the transmitter falls below the value ad-
justed, the receiver will also be muted
The threshold value is factory-set to 0 To change
the value, use the button
range: −5 ... +10); to save the changed value,
press the button SET
