OPERATION
Shutdown
1. Turn the Temperature Control fully counterclockwise to the
"off" position.
2. Perform the "Daily Cleaning" procedure in the Maintenance
section of this manual.

Balancing the Top Grill Plate

Perform the following procedure to balance the top grill plate.
A properly balanced top grill plate will stay down and rest flat
on the food product during operation. The top grill plate is
balanced by adjusting the tension on the top grill plate hinge
assembly.
1. Turn off the unit, unplug the power cord, and allow the unit
to cool.
2. Locate the tensioning screw on the back of the unit.
3. Using the hex wrench included with the unit, adjust the
tension on the top grill plate hinge assembly.
• Turn the tensioning screw clockwise to increase the
tension on the hinge assembly.
• Turn the tensioning screw counterclockwise to decrease
the tension on the hinge assembly.
4. Test the operation of the top grill plate assembly and
readjust, if necessary.
