    II. Installation Instructions A. Location CAUTION This unit is not intended for outdoor use. The air temperature should be within a +45°F to +100°F (+7°C to +38°C) range.     To change the door swing, special accessories are required. If installed improperly, the doors will not close and seal correctly. Contact HOSHIZAKI Technical Support or your local HOSHIZAKI distributor if door reversing is desired.

Final Checklist 1) Is the unit level? 2) Is the unit located in a site where the ambient temperature will be within the +45°F to +100°F (+7°C to +38°C) range all year around? 3) Is there at least 10 inches (254 mm) overhead clearance for proper ventilation? 4) Have all shipping cartons, tapes and packing materials been removed from the unit? 5) Has the power supply been checked or tested against the nameplate rating? 6) Have the shelves been properly installed?

    III. Operating Instructions A. Startup Open the front panel for access to the power switch—located on the front of the control box—and turn the switch on. Allow the unit to pull down prior to loading it with food products. IMPORTANT At startup, there is a 2 1/2 minute normal delay before the compressor starts.

    The time-initiated defrost is factory set for normal conditions. Before changing this setting, contact the HOSHIZAKI Technical Support Department for recommendations. If necessary, adjust the time-initiated defrost frequency as follows: 1) Press and hold the up/down arrows simultaneously for 3 seconds. Press "ENTER" until the dF frequency is displayed.

    Check the condenser (located behind the air filter) once a year and use a brush or vacuum cleaner to clean the unit as required. All other maintenance or service on this unit should be performed in accordance with the Hoshizaki Service Manual by a qualified service technician.
