Modem Block Module For HUB-4
INTRODUCTION
PRE-INSTALLATION
P/N 315-099356-2
The SIEMENS Modem Block module is a component of the HUB-4 assembly. Each
Modem Block module provides 1 independent data channel. The HUB-4 can support
up to 4 independent data channels. The Modem Block module mounts on the HUB-4,
COM-2 board, which in turn mounts on the HUB -4 Main-2 board. Refer to the table
below to determine the required modules for the desired configuration.

The Modem Block module has three configuration jumpers: JP1, JP2, and JP3. Refer
to Figure 1 for the location of the jumpers. Set the jumpers to the configuration
shown in Table 2.

- Page 2 Disconnect BATTERY and AC prior to working on equipment. Mounting Each Modem Block module mounts to a HUB-4, COM-2 with the 3 nylon spacers, 3 nylon screws, and 3 nylon washers provided. One HUB-4, COM-2 board can accom- modate up to 2 Modem Block modules.
