DESCRIPTION
The Art. 2220 is a device that enables the VX2200 digital system to con-
nect to one or more concierge stations connected via a LAN or WAN.
It includes one BUS line input (from door panels), one BUS line
output (towards apartments or blocks) and one Ethernet inter-
face through which the unit is connected to the LAN.
A concierge station may either be an Ms-Windows® PC running
the "VX2200 IP Concierge Software 1.0" (Art. CSW2220) or a
"VX2200 IP Concierge Station" (Art. CST2220).
Systems can include one or more Art. 2220 interfaces and one
or more concierge stations.
A server is also required which can be in the form of either a sepa-
rate device (Art. SRU2220) or in the case of the PC concierge it could
run on the same PC as the concierge client (Art. CSW2220) and in
the case of the Art. CST2220 desk concierge it can run as a server ap-
plication on that concierge. Only one server is required per system.
INITIAL SETUP
The Art. 2220 is prepro-
grammed with factory default
settings but it will normally be
necessary to change these fol-
lowing these steps:
• Using a MS-Windows® PC
equipped with a network
card, set up the IP address to
the value 192.168.0.2 (if any
problem occurs with this
setting, please contact your
system administrator) then
link directly the PC's Ether-
net interface to the Ethernet
interface of the Art. 2220.
Start the "Videx 2220 Utility
program" (Fig. 3).
• Switch the Art. 2220 on and
keep pressed together the
Reset button and the reboot
button. Release the Reset
button first and then the re-
boot button. Now the Art. 2220 is in Boot Mode. When the software finds the Art. 2220 the buttons on the utility program page will
become enabled (Fig. 4).
• By pressing the button "CHANGE SETTINGS", you are allowed to edit the device parameters.
• To properly alter the IP addresses, "Device IP" and "Server IP", please contact your system administrator. If you need to alter the
communication ports, please contact Videx technical support at (technical@videx.it) (Fig. 5).
• Select the correct Video input type using the video settings button (Fig. 5).

The server software can be installed on the same PC that also
runs the VX2200 IP Concierge Software 1.0 (Art. BSW2220) or
can be a separate Server Unit (Art. SRU2220).
