1. Connect the mains plug to a
properly installed protective
contact socket.

2. Place the slices of bread into
the toasting slots (2).
3. Use the adjuster (4) to select
the desired toasting power
setting.
Pale: Select a lower setting.
Dark: Select a higher setting.
To toast just one slice of bread
set the toasting power setting
lower than for two slices.
4. Push down the lever (9).
The operating indicator light
on the stop button
illuminate. Once the selected
toasting power setting has
been reached the toaster will
turn off and the slices of bread
will be ejected upwards out of
the appliance. The operating
indicator light on the stop but-
ton (7) will go out.

6. To achieve a consistent level
of toasting for several consec-
utive uses wait approx. 1 to 1½
minutes between each usage.
Stopping the appliance
– If you would like to stop the toast-
ing process before it is finished
push the stop button
The toaster will turn off, eject
the slices of bread and the op-
erating indicator light on the
stop button will go out.
Toasting frozen bread
If using frozen bread you can push
the defrost button
the selected toasting time.
1. Select a normal toasting power
setting with the adjuster (4).
2. Place the slices of bread into
the toasting slots.
3. Push down the lever (9).
The operating indicator light
on the stop button
illuminate.
4. Push the defrost button
The indicator light on the de-
frost button will illuminate.
