Safety notices

In this chapter you will fi nd
general safety notices which
you must always observe for
your own protection and that
of third parties. Please also
observe the warning notices
in the individual chapters.
WARNING
Risks in handling
household electrical
appliances
Risk of electric shock!
Touching live parts may re-
sult in severe injury or death.
Only connect the appliance
if the mains voltage corre-
sponds to the voltage dis-
played on the label.
The appliance must there-
fore be connected to an
easily accessible socket so
that it can be quickly dis-
connected from the power
supply in the event of fault.
Never use a damaged ap-
pliance. In the event that
you identify any damag-
es that occurred during
transit, please immediate-
ly notify our service team
(see „Customer service" on
page GB-17).
If the mains cord of the
appliance is damaged, the
manufacturer, its custom-
er service team or a person
with similar qualifi cations
must replace it.
Only use the appliance in-
doors and never operate it
in damp rooms or expose it
to rain.
Never repair a defective or
suspected defective appli-
ance yourself. You can put
your own and future us-
ers' lives in danger. Only
authorised specialists are
allowed to carry out this re-
pair work.
Only connect the appliance
to a properly installed pro-
tective contact plug socket
and do not operate it using
an external timer switch or
a separate remote control
system.
Always connect the appli-
ance to an easily accessi-
ble socket, so that you can
quickly unplug the mains
plug in an emergency.
Do not simultaneously con-
nect any other electrical
appliances with a high con-
nected load to the same
circuit.
