Installation

1. Warning: Always turn the power off at the distribution
box before installation (main power switch/
circuit breaker set to OFF, or fuse completely
disconnected).
2. Remove the cap nuts (5) at the front of the light and
remove the wall plate (7) from the back of the light.
Keep the cap nuts and mounting bolts (6) close to
hand.
3. Make a small hole for the power supply cable in
the rubber gasket of the wall plate and small holes
in the actual wall plate for screws used to fasten
the plate to the wall.
4. Feed the power supply cable through the hole
in the rubber gasket (or through the hole in
the bottom).
5. Depending on the type of wall you have, you can
either screw the wall plate directly to the wall or
mark out where the mounting holes need to be,
drill and insert wall plugs. Note: The wall plate has
an arrow on it which should point upwards when
the plate is mounted. Push the mounting bolts (6)
through the wall plate from the back before screwing
it to the wall.
6. Connect the power lead to the terminal block as
shown below.
- Blue (neutral) connects to the terminal marked N.
- Brown or black (live) connects to the terminal
marked L.
- Yellow-green (earth) connects to the terminal
marked with the earth symbol ( ).
- The X terminal is not to be touched; it already
has a red cable.
7. Hold the bracket (2) against the wall plate and fasten
it using two cap nuts on the front.
8. Remove the top cap (4) by undoing the cap nuts.
9. Screw in a light bulb (max 60 W, E27) (sold separately).
10. Refit the top cap and switch the main power back on.
Note: This outdoor light is fitted with a twilight switch
which prevents it from coming on during daylight hours.
