RCI 7 Series Installation Instructions

I N S T A L L A T I O N
1. Determine vertical centerline of door lock face and horizontal centerline of latch.
2. Transfer these centerlines to the door jamb.
3. Prepare door jamb as per drawing.
4. If required, install optional "no weld" mounting brackets per instructions (supplied with mounting brackets).
5. Attach insert (coil unit) to lip bracket with screws provided.
6. Attach faceplate to lip bracket with screws provided.
7. Connect wires from low-voltage side of transformer to terminal screws on strike. (Polarity is not observed.)
8. Install door strike in frame, attaching it with two screws provided.
Important: For mortise locks, align ramps of lip bracket with deadlock trigger.
For cylindrical locks, align centerline of latch with centerline of strike.
