Bluetooth Speaker

Safety
• This speaker can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and
supervised. Keep the speaker and its charger lead out of reach of children
under the age of 8.
• The speaker may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capability, lack of experience or knowledge which could jeopardise their
safety, provided they have been instructed in the safe use of the product and
understand the hazards involved. Never let children play with the speaker.
• The speaker should not be taken apart or modified. Never try to open
the casing of the speaker. Certain uninsulated components inside the housing
carry dangerous voltages. Contact with these can lead to fire or electric shock.
• Do not cover the speaker. Adequate ventilation, with a distance of at least
5 cm between the speaker and surrounding surfaces, is necessary to prevent
the speaker from overheating.
• Place the speaker on a stable, flat surface.
• Do not place the speaker where it could fall into water or other liquids.
• Do not place the speaker in constant sunlight or near naked flames such as
wood stoves, lit candles, etc.
• Never subject the speaker to high temperatures, damp or dusty environments,
heavy vibrations or impacts.
• Protect your hearing. Listening on high volume for prolonged periods can lead
to permanent hearing loss.
• The speaker must only be repaired by qualified service technicians.

Charging
1. Connect the included charger lead to the USB charging port (6) on the speaker
and to a computer or other USB charger.
2. The LED indicator (5) will shine red while the battery is charging and go out
when the battery is fully charged.
3. An low-battery signal will sound whenever the battery starts getting low.

Bluetooth connection

1. Press and hold [ ] until the speaker emits an audio signal. The LED indicator (5)
will begin flashing blue.
2. Activate Bluetooth on the device to be paired with the speaker.
3. The speaker will appear as BS1, Select it and pair it to your device.
The speaker will play a voice message and the mode indicator will change to
a steady blue light to indicate that the device has been paired.
4. Start playback on the Bluetooth device. The volume level and track can be
changed on either the speaker or on your external device. Other playback
settings can be controlled from the external device.
Connecting a device via the 3.5 mm aux-in socket
1. Switch the speaker on by holding in [
2. Connect a 3.5 mm audio cable between your device and the aux input (7) on
the speaker.
3. Start playback on the external device.
4. Adjust the volume level on the speaker or the external device.
Note: The track can be changed using the buttons on the speaker or by pressing
[ l◄ ] once the external device is connected via the 3.5 mm socket.

Care and maintenance

• The speaker has an IPX5 rating (dust and water jet proof) which means that it
can be subjected to water jets from all angles. It is therefore suitable for use
in the rain and very wet or humid conditions. The speaker is however, not
completely waterproof and should not be immersed in water or other liquid.
• Clean the speaker using a lightly moistened cloth. Use only mild cleaning
agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• If the speaker is not to be used for a long time, the battery should be fully
charged on a regular basis (every second month) to prolong its capacity.
Responsible disposal
This symbol indicates that this product should not be disposed
of with general household waste. This applies throughout
the entire EU. In order to prevent any harm to the environment
or health hazards caused by incorrect waste disposal,
the product must be handed in for recycling so that the material
can be disposed of in a responsible manner. When recycling
your product, take it to your local collection facility or contact
the place of purchase. They will ensure that the product is
disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.

The battery might be flat. Recharge the battery.
• Check the volume and play/pause status on both
the external device and speaker.
• Make sure that the Bluetooth connection has been
properly established.
• Test file playback on the Bluetooth device first
before connecting it to the speaker.
• Try using another file. The file may be incompatible
or damaged.
• Make sure that no other wireless devices are
disrupting the current Bluetooth connection.
• Check for sufficient volume level on the connected
device and the speaker. Check the play/pause
button on the connected device.
• Check that the cable connecting the device and
the speaker is undamaged and securely connected.
• Test the playback of the file on the device itself
before connecting it to the speaker.
• Try using another file. The file may be incompatible
or damaged.
