Safety Precautions

Safe operation of this machine is only possible when the operating instructions and the safety
precautions are read completely and the instructions contained therein are strictly observed.
The machine is not qualified for operation in environments where danger of explosion exits.

The machine must not be damp and must not be operated in a wet environment.
o
Always inspect cable and plug before using machine. Only have damage repaired by a
o
qualified professional.
Connect machines that are used in the outside-area via a residual current circuit breaker. Use
o
only extension cables that are intended for outdoor use and are protected against splash
water.
Put the plug into the mains socket only when the machine is switched off.
o
Always lay the cable away from the machine towards the rear.
o
Take care of long hair and fashion accessories; work in properly buttoned-up clothes, without
o
freely flowing parts.
To be on the safe side, always use the handle. Consider possible reaction torque.
o
Do not carry the machine by the power cord.
o
Before any work on the machine itself, pull the mains plug.
o
If the cord is damaged, it should be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized service department
to avoid dangers.
Startup
Do not touch into the grinding head.
Hold the machine tightly with both hands.
Before switch on the machine in operation, be sure that any attachment to the handle is
closed.
Connect the equipment to the power supply.
Before starting the machine, keep away the unit from the surface which will be sanded.
The pressure of the grinding machine to the surface should not be too big nor too low. Crucial
for an optimal sanding result is the choice of the grinding paper.
Turn off the machine after the grinding work.

Maintenance

This power tool normally requires no maintenance; from time the ventilation holes on the

motor housing should be cleaned out.
After approx. 50 hours of operation, check the motor brushes and replace if necessary. Clean
o
the motor housing.
After approx. 200 hours of operation, renew the grease filling in the gearbox.
o
To verify that the protective insulation remains intact, the machine must be subjected to a technical
safety test afterwards. For this reason, this work must be performed exclusively by a professional
workshop.
