KEY COMBINATIONS
There are also some key combinations, labeled in
blue, that can help you to save power as you use
your computer. These key combinations override
the Setup program and Power program parame-
ters.
FN+ F4
(Disk)
FN+ F5
(Spkr)
FN+

(Display)
FN+ F10
(Standby)
This key combination causes
the hard disk controller to
turn off until accessed. No
special keystrokes or com-
mands are needed to turn
the disk controller on again.
This key combination en-
ables and disables the
speaker.
You can press this key com-
bination to turn off the back-
light and the LCD. Any nor-
mal keyboard entry you
make will turn the backlight
and the LCD back on.
This key combination puts
the computer in a standby
mode. The hard disk, LCD,
backlight, and floppy disk
controller are turned off until
a normal keyboard entry is
made.
