• Infant car seat is free of damage
Verify Child within Weight and Size Range
• Weight between 4–35lbs/1.8–15.9kg
• Height 81cm / 32inches or less.
Secure Child Properly in Infant Car Seat
• Correct shoulder strap height (at or slightly
below shoulders)
• Harness not twisted and low across hips
• Harness secure and tight
Install Infant Car Seat Rearward-facing in Safe
Location in Vehicle
• Vehicle seats that face front of vehicle only
• Handle locked in specified position (2a)
• Child facing rear of vehicle
• Position with NO active airbag
• 3 point (shoulder/lap) belt used
• Seat belt not twisted
• Belt path followed
• Tight against vehicle seat
