xSeries 455: Option Installation Guide
1. Read the safety information beginning on page v and "Installation guidelines"
on page 13.
2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect the power cords
and all external cables; then, open the cover.
3. Remove the memory-board assembly from the server.
Attention: When you handle static-sensitive devices, take precautions to
avoid damage from static electricity. For details about handling these devices,
see "Handling static-sensitive devices" on page 14.
a. Pull up on the levers to detach the memory-board assembly.
b. Carefully remove the memory-board assembly from the server and set it
aside.
4. Remove the shipping thumbscrews from the right side of the server.
5. Lift the retention bracket from the server.
