Does my Warm Jar have a fault?
Check the following before asking for a service.
Symptom

O Rattling noise, clicking noise ... Sound of the Warm Jar preparing to apply
making a noise.
O Short wooshing noise ... Sound of pressure being applied.
O Blowing noise, puffing noise ... Sound of pressure escaping.
When opening/closing the Outer Lid
O Rolling noise ... Sound of the metal balls within the Inner Lid rolling around.
O Clacking noise ... Sound of the ball in the Steam Cap rolling.
[When "Steam Less" is displayed after cooking]
O Did you fill the Water Vessel with water?
The water decreases during cooking and steam is not injected depending
on the quantity of water.
O Have you fill the Water Vessel with hot water (40°C or more)?
If the temperature of the water is too hot at the start, steam may not be injected.
O After cooking, have you tried to cook again without replacing the water
remaining in the Water Vessel, or added water to it?
 Steam may not be injected if the water temperature is too high, so refill

O This is a typical characteristic of the Variable Pressure Technology (a

O Is the current time correct? (The time is displayed in 24-hour clock format.)
O Has the timer been set to a time outside the "Timer Setting Restriction"?
O When using the timer, the rice is soaked before cooking starts, and so
the soaking time after cooking starts is shorter.
Consequently, cooking starts slightly later than might be expected.

The cooking depending on cooking programs may start around

40 minutes before the rice is due to ready.
O Is the current time correct? (The time is displayed in 24-hour clock format.)
O Have you pressed the "Start" button?
O Has the timer been set to a time outside the "Timer Setting Restriction"?
O Is the button lamp on?
Button operations will not work when e.g. cooking/the keep warm state/the
timer and cleaning function settings are in use.
 Press the "Cancel/Off" button.
The indicator will continue flashing (approx. 4 minutes).
Press a button after checking that it has gone out and steam is no
longer jetting out.
O Is the keep warm function switched off?
O Is the rice cold? (Buzzer will sound 4 times.)
Reheating is not possible if the temperature is 50°C or lower.
O The Warm Jar may be set for stores.
Cancel Demo mode with the following steps.
①
S elect "Clock" with the "Menu Select" button.
② P ress the "Steam Keep Warm" button and
"Timer" button at the same time.
③ Press the "Steam Keep Warm" button.
④ Press the "Timer" button.
After Demo mode has been cancelled, set the current time. (P. 16)
O The lithium battery has run down.
The current time or set time cannot be stored, however you can cook rice
or use the keep warm function. The current time must be set on each
occasion that you use the timer.
The lithium battery is fixed inside the main body and cannot be replaced
by the user.
 For a replacement of lithium battery, consult the dealer where you
purchased the Warm Jar or a service centre.
O Sometimes small sparks can be seen when inserting or removing the
Power Plug. This is a phenomenon particular to IH (induction heating)
techniques and not indicative of a fault.
O Are there objects such as grains of rice stuck on the Hooks, Clear Frame,
Stoppers or the Pressure Control Holes of the Inner Lid?
O The Outer Lid does not open while pressure cooking if the Hook Button is
pressed.
 "If the Outer Lid needs to be opened while cooking". (P. 11)
O Did you touch the Hook Button while cooking?
 Press the Outer Lid once and then press the Hook Button.
O Are there objects such as grains of rice stuck on the Hooks, Clear Frame,
Stoppers or the Pressure Control Holes of the Inner Lid?
O Has the Inner Lid been attached correctly?
O Has the Inner Lid become bent or deformed?
O This Warm Jar is a pressurised Warm Jar which requires a high level of
sealing, so it may feel difficult to close.
 Please close the Outer Lid slowly until it clicks.
