    Discrete I/O Interface EN-1 INTRODUCTION This discrete I/O interface Kit is for use with the Ohaus Ranger ® 7000. When installed, the system software allows the relay to be programmed in a variety of ways. BASIC APPLICATIONS Applications include: driving external Over/Accept/Under displays, motor controls for semi-automatic filling systems, sorting systems, interfacing to industrial PLC systems, etc.

  • Page 5 EN-4 Discrete I/O Interface Connect the cable to the two connectors (3 Pin and 6 Pin), and plug these two connectors to the terminal block (J1 & J2). Secure the cable gland and put the terminal cover back on. IMPORTANT: When connecting any AC line supplied device to the Discrete I/O PCB, ensure that each external device utilizes a properly grounded AC connection CAUTION: Do not operate the discrete I/O without the terminal cover in place IMPORTANT: Review the I/O menu before using the discrete I/O board to control...
  • Page 6 Discrete I/O Interface EN-5 CONNECTION  INPUT The discrete I/O interface enables other devices such as PLCs to provide the trigger voltage (typically 12 VDC or 24 VDC, maximum 30 VDC) to turn the inputs “on”. An example of wiring to the inputs with the +V to the common is shown: Note: Voltage: 5~30 VDC, 10 mA maximum current.

    Interfaccia I/O discreto IT-1 INTRODUZIONE ® Questo kit Interfaccia I/O discreto è destinato all'utilizzo con bilance Ohaus Ranger 7000. Il software di sistema, una volta installato, consente di programmare i relè in una varietà di modi. APPLICAZIONI DI BASE Le applicazioni comprendono: funzionamento dei display esterni Over (Al di sopra)/Accept (Accettazione)/Under (Al di sotto), controlli elettronici di motore per sistemi di riempimento semiautomatici, sistemi di classificazione, interfacciamento verso sistemi PLC industriali, ecc.

Fissare il pressacavo e rimettere il coperchio posteriore del terminale a posto. IMPORTANTE: quando alla PCB I/O Discreto si collega un dispositivo fornito dalla linea di alimentazione elettrica di rete, assicurarsi che ogni dispositivo esterno utilizzi una connessione in CA correttamente messa a terra.
