The following conditions are some possibilities:
1. Communication line to the EEPROM (or flash ROM) could either be disconnected or short.
2. The EEPROM (or flash ROM) IC itself could be faulty.
Error by over current detection

• If error display does not come on again when POWER ON in the NORMAL MODE, this could mean that the speaker
terminal is short.
1. (In a case when an error claimed by the customer could not be duplicated) The customer let the volume of the
speakers increase when two poles of the speaker cable had been short-circuited.
2. (In a case when an error claimed by the customer could not be duplicated) The customer let the conductor of the
speaker cable touch the chassis of the main unit.
• If error display comes on, the following conditions are some possibilities:
1. In the AMP Block, either one or more of the digital amp IC (TAS5142DDV) has broken down.
2. Short-circuit occurred somewhere between the faulty IC(s) and speaker terminal.
3. The SHUTDOWN line has either short to ground or disconnected somewhere between the faulty digital amp IC
and system microcomputer.
4. VS+12 voltage is too low. (Less than 10 V)
Error by hot temperature
O v e r
• No abnormality if "OVERTEMP" display does not come on when POWER ON in the NORMAL MODE again.

(The TEMP could have just gone up temporarily. Try reducing the volume)
• When the "OVERTEMP" display comes on again, the following conditions are some possibilities:
1. In the AMP Block, either one or more of the digital amp IC (TAS5142DDV) has broken down.
2. The XOTW line has either short to ground or disconnected somewhere between the faulty digital amp IC(s) and
.
