T h e High Tension distributor is very accessible. I t is provided with a
greaser to lubricate the spindle, and only high melting point grease should b,e
emp!oyed, o n e turn every thousand miles being suficient.
T h e contacts can b,e inspected by unclipping the two springs when the
cover carrying the High Tension Leads can b,e removed. T h e ignition
timing should be set so that when
a piston is o n top dead centre the points
of the make and break just start t o open with the distributor at full retard.
T h e points may require adjustment from time t o time, and a spanner is
provided with the Tool Kit for this purpose. T h e clearance between the
points should be
20/1000
of an inch.
