    Play music You can play either ATRAC3 or MP3 music files with your HBM-30. To insert and remove the Memory Stick Duo 1. Insert the Memory Stick Duo into the slot. If the Memory Stick Duo is inserted correctly, the display shows Read ATRAC3 or Read MP3 according to current preferred type.
  • Page 11 HBM-30 starts in the selected type (ATRAC3 or MP3). If no files of the preferred type are found, but if files of the other type are detected, the HBM-30 automatically switches to the other type as the preferred type. Playback of ATRAC3 files is the default setting.

    HBM-30 is active. Your Memory Stick Duo contents might be corrupted. To record with default settings 1. Connect your HBM-30 to a music source using the recording cable. Connect the cable to the Rec input of your HBM-30. See picture “Overview” on page 7.
