Putting the Instrument in the Case
When placing the instrument in the case,
refer to page 7 and make sure that the
mouthpiece is attached straight onto the
body. Make sure that the mouthpiece is
properly attached to avoid the possibility
of damage to the instrument.

When placing the instrument in the case for
storage, make sure that the instrument is in
contact with these marked areas of the case.
• Make sure that the mouthpiece is
attached straight onto the body.
The slide locks on the case lid (A)
slightly protrude from the case. Take
care that your clothing or the cleaning
swab do not get caught hooked on one
of the locks and cause the case or
instrument to fall.

Mouthpiece Patch (M)
Make sure that you wipe off any moisture,
grease, or foreign substance before put-
ting the instrument in the case. Also avoid
keeping the instrument in a location where
it may be exposed to high or extremely low
temperatures.

Replace the reed supplied with the instru-
ment with a new one if the tip becomes
damaged or it no longer vibrates well.
In addition to the resin reed, reeds made
of cane can also be used.

The rubber parts on joints may become
loose or broken depending on usage. In
such cases, replace with new ones.
