External audio source
An external audio source can be con-
nected to all car radios except for those
types listed above.
This includes for example a TV or video
unit or a portable CD player. The device
to be connected must have an appropri-
ate audio output.
The audio input of the CD changer con-
nector on the car radio is used for con-
necting an external audio source. This
means that it is not possible to connect
the CD changer and an external audio
source at the same time.

Setting the audio input

The audio input setting will vary depend-
ing on which device is connected to it.
Possible settings:
E X T O F F
The audio input is switched off.
E X T A U X
E X T T V
or
The audio input is set for operation
with an external audio source.
E X T C D C
The audio input is set for CD changer
mode.
Press the K button repeatedly
E X T
until
appears on the display.
E X T
After approx. 1 second, the current
setting (status) of the audio input will
appear. The status display disap-
pears after approx. 4 seconds.
Before the status display disappears,
turn the control knob until the re-
quired setting appears.
Wait until the setting disappears
from the display.
The new setting is stored.
